Boeing 727 prototype Postcard
Old Postcards showing classic aircraft of the past.
Welcome to the Aircraft section of Classic Wheels, a new site for everyone interested in preserved vehicles and historic transport.
This part of Classic Wheels contains scans of original postcards with an aviation theme to them, dating from way back when the Wright Brothers took their
first tentative airborne hops, right through to Concorde, one of the few things we in the UK could be proud of (now sadly reduced to a silent relic in museums).
Please note that no postcard image on Classic Wheels is to be reproduced elsewhere, or directly linked to from other websites. I am not aware of any copyright
on these images but if any images are under copyright, please get in touch and I will
remove it, or credit it accordingly, asap.
Below is an original postcard, titled 'Boeing 727 prototype'.
This is postcard # 5 in this collection of aviation cards.
To see the other old aircraft postcards, visit the image list here and check out the
other classic jets and prop planes of the past, in addition to this one of the Boeing 727 prototype.
More Information on this Boeing 727 prototype aeroplane postcard:
This card shows the early 727-100 in Boeing factory colours, later versions having a longer fuselage. This classic jet was powered by three Pratt and Whitney turbojet engines and cruised at 600mph.
