Early Veloxes had an ingenious bonnet which could be opened and was hinged on both sides. The trademark Vauxhall chrome bonnet flutes are still prominent in the nineteen fifties. These old girls used to rot for England (as did most 50s iron) so survivors in this condition are thin on the ground.
