It wasnt just BMC that were fond of badge engineering at the end of the sixties. Rootes had for a long time taken middling saloons and tarted them up with better trim before selling them as Humbers and Singers for instance. In the late 60s Hillman brought out the boxy Hunter and Rootes took the basic 3 box shell and nailed on different grilles to them. Few of these Gazelle-badged Singers are around now so its interesting to find one on show here.
