North American P51 Mustang Photograph
1940s fighter plane seen at former RAF Westhampnett airfield
This is one of 170+ images of classic aircraft and cars that I took at the September 2004 Circuit Revival meeting at Goodwood, in Sussex, which during WW2 was an operational RAF airfield. Postwar the perimeter track was used for motor racing, and the Goodwood circuit was born.

The restored North American aeroplane on this page was photographed over the 3 day Revival weekend at Goodwood, which always has a large vintage aircraft contingent supporting the historic racing. This silver P51 Mustang is a fighter plane of the type often seen at aerodromes and airfields years ago.
You'll find many more restored classic aircraft photos similar to this North American P51 Mustang elsewhere on Classic Wheels, just have a look at the left hand menu.
