De Havilland Dragon Rapide Photograph
1930s vintage biplane seen at former RAF Westhampnett airfield
This is one of 170+ images of classic aircraft and cars that I took at the September 2004 Circuit Revival meeting at Goodwood, in Sussex, which during WW2 was an operational RAF airfield. Postwar the perimeter track was used for motor racing, and the Goodwood circuit was born.
The restored De Havilland aeroplane on this page was photographed over the 3 day Revival weekend at Goodwood, which always has a large vintage aircraft contingent supporting the historic racing. This blue and silver Dragon Rapide is a vintage biplane of the type often seen at aerodromes and airfields years ago.
You'll find many more restored classic aircraft photos similar to this De Havilland Dragon Rapide elsewhere on Classic Wheels, just have a look at the left hand menu.

The blue Rapide is pushed into its parking position by some dapperly-dressed enthusiasts.
