Alvis Grey Lady

This is one of 170+ images of classic cars and aircraft that I took at the September 2004 Circuit Revival meeting at Goodwood, in Sussex.

The restored Alvis below was photographed over the 3 day weekend at Goodwood. This silver Grey Lady is a saloon car of the type often seen at motor racing meets and events in years gone by, this particular Alvis saloon car dating back to the 1954 era. Such cars
would have appeared in saloon car races at motorsport meetings, such as those at Goodwood.
You'll find many more restored vehicles similar to this Alvis Grey Lady elsewhere on Classic Wheels, just have a look at the left hand menu.

Further notes on this classic Grey Lady:
Not a common sight on any racing circuit this rare Alvis showed a clean pair of heals to most of the grid in the 2 part St Marys Trophy race at Goodwood in the hands of Gerry Marshall.
