Alfa Romeo 12C-37

This is one of 170+ images of classic cars and aircraft that I took at the September 2004 Circuit Revival meeting at Goodwood, in Sussex.

The restored Alfa Romeo below was photographed over the 3 day weekend at Goodwood. This red 12C-37 is a racing car of the type often seen at motor racing meets and events in years gone by, this particular Alfa Romeo racing car dating back to the 1937 era. Such cars
would have appeared in racing car races at motorsport meetings, such as those at Goodwood.
You'll find many more restored vehicles similar to this Alfa Romeo 12C-37 elsewhere on Classic Wheels, just have a look at the left hand menu.

Further notes on this classic 12C-37:
In the final years of the 1930s Alfa was getting outclassed on the racing tracks of Europe by the Silver Arrows from Mercedes and Auto Union. In a bid to catch up they replaced their ageing designs with this mighty 4.6 litre 12 cylinder Grand Prix car.
